R11 is the operating system for solar contractors.
R11 is business software for residential solar and storage installation companies. Office staff use R11 to run every customer installation project from the signed contract through utility approval: the stage each job is in, the work each person owes, the site conditions that block an install, and the funding milestones each financier has reported. It is used by installation companies, not by homeowners.

Funding milestones are recorded as the financier reports them. R11 never invents a payment or marks money received that has not arrived.
Why R11 asks for Google Drive access
Solar contractors already keep a folder for every customer in their own Google Drive, holding that job's permits, site photos, plan sets, and contracts, organized into standard subfolders such as Design, Permitting, and Site Survey. Those folders were created over the years by the contractor's own staff and their existing automation.
When an authorized employee attaches a document to a project inside R11, R11 uploads that file into that project's existing folder in the contractor's Drive, routed into the correct subfolder for its document type. To do that, R11 lists the subfolders of the contractor's project folders so it can match one by name. Because those folders already exist and were not created by R11, a limited scope that only reaches app-created files cannot see or write into them, which is why R11 requests full Drive access.
R11 never reads or downloads the contents of files, and never renames, moves, copies, shares, or changes permissions on anything. The only file R11 will ever move to the Drive account's trash is one R11 itself uploaded, and only when an employee removes that document inside R11, so the contractor's folder and R11's record cannot disagree. Every upload and removal is recorded in an R11 keeps its own record of every document it files and of every removal, with the employee and the time. If the expected subfolder does not exist, R11 files the document at the top of that project's folder and says so before the upload; R11 does not create folders. If no folder is linked to the project, R11 refuses the upload rather than guessing. A company administrator connects the company's own Google account once, and can disconnect it at any time in R11 or from their Google account's security settings.
R11's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. R11 does not sell Google user data, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it to train machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models. Full detail is in the R11 Privacy Policy.
